"Once
upon a time, I needed a part I
couldn't find.
So, I bought an old junker MGB.
Then, I needed
another part I couldn't find so I bought another old junker.
Before I knew it, my parts cars equaled or exceeded my collection.
"But, every parts car had a purpose.
And none could be tossed so long as
its twin was in my permanent collection.
Invariably, because I have
a pull-handle MGB, I acquired 3 or 4 pull-handle parts cars.
And, if
you own a Magnette or MG1100, you can't have too many sedan parts cars."

What started as
a support base for
my hobby has grown 'til I've had to separate the parts cars I need to
maintain my
collection from those I consider 'duplicates'.
See, I never know what part I'll need on one of my cars. So, I buy
every little orphan MG I find. Heck, little dead MG's even appear
miraculously in my driveway on Sunday mornings while I'm at church (in the
rain, no les!).
Then, once I have the car in my possession, I decide if it is needed to support my collection or is a
duplicate (Yes, sometimes what I think is a 'duplicate' parts car
becomes a 'personal' parts car or vice versa.).
And because of that, used parts are always coming & going. So, we've found it almost
impossible to keep a complete inventory on the web (I don't know why I say "we" when there's only
ME!).
